What is a time card profile?
A time card profile defines the limits on employee time card hours that either company policy or state and federal regulations necessitate. You can build multiple profiles within a company to deal with flexible work weeks, variable-length work weeks, overtime pay specifications, and shifts.
A time card profile defines, by day of week and by period totals, the number of regular scheduled hours. You can also establish the total number of hours that the employee has to work to be eligible for premium pay and any unpaid overtime hours.
Based on the time card schedule, which you create beforehand, e-timecard knows the day of the week that starts the pay period and how many days are in the period.
The topics that follow explain concepts related to time card profiles.
