Your e-timecard administrator maintains pay codes for each type of earning, deduction, benefit, payroll earning, pre-tax deduction, and tax. You can enter pay codes on time cards for some of the following.
regular payroll earning
vacation
sick
holiday
shift pay
hazardous pay
premium overtime
Depending on your administrator's settings, a pay code may have a default job and/or cost element that automatically appears on the time card line when you select the code. Find out more about default jobs/cost elements.
You may be able to select from single pay codes only or combination pay codes as well. Check with your e-timecard administrator if you are not sure which kind to enter.
