Where do you want the org9 to default from?
If you choose to display the org9 on the time card, you have two choices for which record you want the org9 to default from onto each time card line when the employee enters a job or when the program defaults a job:
From the employee’s setting on the Employee Details screen. This means that regardless of the job on the time card, the same org9 always defaults for that employee.
From the job’s setting on the Job Master screen.
If you choose org9 as one of the user-defined columns, and you make this field editable, then employees can change the org9 regardless of where it defaults from. If you do not select org9 as one of the columns, or you set it to be display-only, then e-timecard automatically updates the org9 when the employee changes the job number if you select to default the org9 from the job.
If you enable either of the org9 validations under the main e-timecard Initialization tab, then your setting here can have a vital impact. Let’s say that you enter a number for Org Level for Job Validation, then you select Job for the Default Org9 from (user-defined label) field. The org9 that defaults onto the time card will always be the same one as the org9 in the job master, so unless the field is editable and the employee changes it, the org9 will always pass the org job validation.
