Setting validation options for budgets


Before you create your company's budgets, you must make the following settings on the e-timecard Initialization screen, Time Card Setup tab.

First, under the User-defined columns heading, click on a dropdown arrow and select Budget Hours as one of the fields to appear on time cards. This makes Budget Hours appear as a display-only field in the Extra Information area at the bottom of the Edit Time Card screen.

In the second row for the Budget Hours column, Display Only is automatically selected, and you cannot change it. The third row does not have a dropdown list because the required/optional setting is not relevant to budget hours.

Then, click on the dropdown arrow in the fourth row for the Budget Hours column and select one of the following validation options.

Finish the process by clicking Save.
