Your options vary depending on your selection for Pay Frequency. Also, your setting here affects your options for profile frequency on the Time Card Profiles screen. Find out the difference between pay frequency and time card frequency.
Click on the dropdown arrow for Time Card Start Day and select the day of the week that begins each pay period.
Note: If you are setting up a monthly or semi-monthly schedule, you can select Actual for the Time Card Start Day field if you want the period to always start on the first day of the month or semi-month.
Also note the following if you wish to let employees amend time cards that were created before you changed their time card schedule. If the previous schedule’s time card period start was set to a specific day of the week, then you must change that previous schedule’s Time Card Start Day field to Actual.
Click Save to commit your time card schedule entries.
Hint: While creating a new time card schedule or editing either a schedule or one of its time card periods, you can click Back to cancel any entries that you’ve made since the last time that you clicked Save or Update. From the Time Card Schedules screen, you can choose to restart the process for adding a new time card schedule, or you can edit or delete an existing time card schedule.
