Do you want employees to select an approver during time card submittal?
You can give employees the option to select an approver each time they submit a time card.
You have the following options in the Allow Employees to Change Time Card Approver field on the e-timecard Initialization screen, Approvals tab.
No—The employee cannot change the time card approver. This is the default.
Change from Dropdown List—The employee can change the time card approver by selecting one from the approver dropdown list.
Change from Lookup Screen—The employee can change the time card approver by selecting Search from the approver dropdown list, which brings up a lookup screen. Use this option if your company has a large number of approvers.
When you select one of the two Change options, a dropdown list appears under the Approvers heading on the Submit Time Card screen. The employee can accept the approver that defaults from the Employee Details screen, or s/he can select a different, authorized approver.
If an employee selects a different approver when submitting a time card, then the program automatically updates the Approver field on the Employee Details screen, e-timecard Data tab.
Note: To select one of the Change options, you must check one or both of the Employee’s Time Card Approver and Employee’s Manager fields for Minimum Approvers. If you check both, then e-timecard automatically uses the employee’s time card approver. Read details about your approver options.
