Changing work orders
You can change the description or start and end dates for a work order at any time. Follow these instructions to change an existing work order.
To change a work order
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Work orders. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Work Orders. The Work Orders screen appears.
In the Filters section, enter one or more search criteria for the work order that you want to change. Your filter choices are: work order group or job number, work order number, description, start date, end date.
Hints: You can enter partial information in a filter field, such as 1 to retrieve all work order numbers that begin with 1, or %1 to retrieve all work order numbers that contain the number 1. You can leave all filter fields blank to retrieve all work orders. You can look up jobs by clicking to the right of the Work Order Group/Job (user-defined label) field.
Click Retrieve to list work orders that match the criteria you entered. The results appear in the bottom section of the screen.
If needed, scroll to find the work order that you want to change. JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by work order group/job number. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.
Click Edit to the left of the work order that you want to change. JAMIS makes the fields that you can change editable.
Change data for the work order as needed.
Click Update to commit your changes to the work order data.
Repeat the appropriate steps as needed to change data for additional work orders.
Note that while editing a work order, if you haven’t clicked Update yet, you can click Cancel to undo any changes that you've made to the record.
