Selecting org9s


The org9 represents the lowest level of structure in your company. All e-timecard users and all job numbers belong to an org9. Some terms that companies may use for the org9 include department and cost center.

Follow these instructions to select an org9 on your time card.

To select an org9

  1. On the Edit Time Card screen, enter the org9 in the Org9 (user-defined label) field.

  2. If you need to look up the org9, click Look Up to the right of the Org9 field. The Look Up Org9 (user-defined label) screen appears.

  3. Enter one or more search criteria. Your choices are: org9 code, org9 description, parent of org9 (org8).

    Hints:
    You can enter partial information in a search field, such as 1 to retrieve all org9 codes that begin with the number 1, or %1 to retrieve all org9 codes that contain the number 1. You can leave all search fields blank to retrieve all org9s for your company.

  4. Click Search to retrieve org9 records that match the criteria you entered. The search results appear in the bottom section of the screen, which includes a count of the number of records found.

  5. If necessary, scroll to find the org9 that you are looking for.

  6. When you find the org9 you are looking for, click Select to the left of it. The Edit Time Card screen reappears with the org9 that you selected added to the field.

Note that at any time while looking up a field, you can click Cancel to cancel your search, close the screen, and return to the previous screen.
