Vacation or sick


In the upper-right of the Time Card screen, the Balance box shows the available balances for absence pay codes such as vacation or sick. e-timecard updates these accrual balances each time that your company completes a payroll cycle. Unless an absence code is set up to allow overcharging, you cannot charge more hours to the code than the amount shown in the Balance box.

If the code's setup does allow you to charge over the accrual balance, your e-timecard administrator can set a limit. If you enter hours over the limit, then e-timecard gives you an error message.

You can enter planned absences such as vacation in future time card periods.
