You can view a list of time cards that employees haven't created yet. Sometimes, these time cards are called missing time cards. You may want to do this at the end of the time card period to see which of the employees who you are authorized to approve still needs to enter their time.
Once you retrieve uncreated time cards, you may want to email the employees to remind them that they need to create time cards for the period. If the employees are not available to enter the time cards themselves, then you can create time cards for them.
Follow these steps to retrieve a list of uncreated time cards.
To view employee time cards that haven't been created
Do one of the following to access the Approval Not Created screen.
From the upper-left corner of any e-timecard application screen, click Time Card > Approval View > View Not Created.
From any approval screen, click the View Not Created tab.
If you wish, select the time card schedule for which you want to view uncreated time cards from the Time Card Schedule dropdown list. Or, leave the Select a schedule option in the dropdown list to view uncreated time cards for all schedules.
Enter a time card period start date. This field is required. You can enter a date manually or click to the right of the field to select a date from a calendar.
Under Approver, select the approver whose uncreated time cards you want to see from the dropdown list. This list shows only you and those approvers who delegated their authority to you. Your name and ID are selected by default, meaning that e-timecard will display uncreated time cards for your employees.
Click Retrieve. e-timecard lists uncreated time cards according to the criteria that you entered.
At this point, you can do the following to help your employees create time cards.
